The First Hungarian BASE Jumping Team
In 2000, when the first BASE jump took place in our country, Attila Csizmadia and Csaba Szörényi formed the first Hungarian BASE jumping team under the name BASECIGANYZ.
After gathering the necessary experience, the team quickly expanded with numerous members. The founding members kick-started an active B.A.S.E. life in Hungary by "infecting" their close friends and fellow skydivers.
The team participated in various demonstration jumps and competitions worldwide. Furthermore, the team and the association, MBSE, organized international BASE jumping competitions in Hungary in 2004 and 2005.

Today, only 2-3 people from the team forged in the 2000s remain active. Unfortunately, several skydiving and BASE jumping tragedies have occurred within the group over the years, and many have retired from the sport due to family reasons.
The story of Team Baseciganyz is simultaneously about the launch of the sport in Hungary, the community, friendship, and the responsibility that comes with such an extreme sport.
Team members participated in various demonstration jumps and competitions worldwide, laying down one of the defining cornerstones of Hungarian BASE jumping.
